Dallas economy still chugging along

You know, I guess I am looking at this economic situation through foggy glasses. All conversations now begin with how is your business doing during these times. My response, well people in a certain class want to continue the lifestyle they are use to. And the ones that can afford it,do.
The Dallas Morning News Business section had an article on how Uptown is still continuing to build despite other areas. The Ritz continued forward and finished their second tower. But it is the Ritz. They will not let a project look half finished. I stopped in on thursday for a meeting. Rattlesnake Bar was packed. Now granted it was all men from some type of convention or meeting, but at 530 you could not sit down anywhere.
Today, it was 70 degrees and West Village was packed.Mi Cocina, of course leading the way. Their sales are up. People still like to enjoy themselves and spend money. But the service is what packs thats place. But as I have mentioned before, on certain nights, thats the place to be.
So we are going to go against the grain and do what the Ritz is doing. Finish our plans. I took possesion of a dealership today. I am moving the company into a larger facility. Some people would say that's crazy. Thats where I guess my eyes are foggy. I see this as a great opportunity to increase market share and a stronger presence. This also increases exposure at a minmal cost for the move.
So that's an advantage in my eyes.

Benny, You hit the nail on the head! I myself have seen the economy news and still believe that Dallas is a market that is still growing. I'm noticing new builds continue and it seems like more companies are moving their HQ to Dallas. My clients are expressing the same things to me about the economy. I recently attended Savor Dallas with my newest client for TeenFoody.com and was greeted with an over flowing crowd to enjoy exclusive dining and premium spirits at the Westin Center from some of the areas most well known Chefs and restaurants.
Good luck on the new location as well. Talk to you soon.
