Thursday night in Big D, can you handle it!!!

Last night there were so many events, you either had to choose one and make the best at that one, or do like I do, hit as many as you can and leave them wanting more. I did three events last night.
Dream Car Garage had their big unveiling last night. So you wonder, what is it and why. as you can see its a fancy storage facility for your prized auto collections. Basically a condo for your car. The concept is huge in Miami and some other states, will it do well in Dallas, time will only tell, but they drew a decent crowd of hip car fanatics. Libations were served by Belvedere vodka and Moet so as i have said before free booze will bring a crowd.

Then there was HATCH. This was a pop up retail experience shwocasing some Dallas' most prominent designers and artists. It was held at La Reunion TX Gallery in the Art District. Abi Ferrin had some items on display along with a very ecclectic designer of fashion purses, Chance Jackson. He is a west Texas boy, like myself, and they have a Texas twist using exotic leathers and different hides. This was a small intimate event but its always good to support the local artists and designers, that way when they blow up, they will at least remeber you.

Finishing off the night at Lombardos with a casino night. Eye candy was supplied by Boardwalk Auto Group in the form of Ferrrari, Lamborghini and Maserati. Jay always throws good events. They have a customer appreciation night on thursdays normally, but this night was fun. Blackjack, Craps, and slot machines were n full force. Cigars were furnished for that smoke that went perfect with the fact that this event was also outside. they drew a large crowd of fun people gambling. They also had a great spread of food from a new restaurant venture they are doing with Judd Fria; formerly from Pappas Steakhouse. Their new place set to open on Dec 10 is off the tollway in north dallas called Tre Amici. That should be a great opening with the crowds and clientele that Jay commands. He has a loyal following so it should do well.
