The second event I had to attend was the inagural live radio broadcast of Off with the Helmets with Marcus Spears and Chris Canty. It was held in the cigar room of Del Friscos on spring valley in North Dallas. This is going to be a great event, that will only get better. Marcus Spears of the Dallas Cowboys has a great personality. I have met many professional athletes and this young kid from LSU really has his head on straight. Brady Tinker, a a very popular local sports authority, I think, really interacts well with Marcus. Some personalities tend to overrun and talk way too much, when you really want to hear what the athletes have to say, he compliments Spears very well.
Dee Lincoln, the owner, knew how she wanted this to play out in her restaurant and it was done well. Other places that have done these shows, usually have all theses fans lined up just t get autographs and they never spend money. That wasnt the case last night, it was a small group, but very intimate, the food, wow, all i had was the cold shrimp with this sauce and it was spectacular! I will be making this an every tuesday event so stay tuned. If you want to attend a show, you do have to call and make reservations.
