Economy bad? Is renting an exotic better alternative to buying?

this weekend for labor day, I had one vehicle left to rent. Gas prices have been down and are hovering around $3.50 a gallon for regular. Since none of my vehicles use regular that leads you to realize that my clientele are not affected or concerned with gas prices. the economy bad? well once again, my customers, I think are well off and were probably thinking or looking around at possibly buying an exotic car, but now may be in a holding pattern of buying but do not want to alter their lifestyle completely. best choice, rent one every other weekend. I have many clients that are married, double income, double suv with children. So a two seater italian job may not be the most practical. With the monthly leasing costs of a ferrari somewhere north of $2500 a month, not including insurance, the price of $2250 a day may not be so bad, if you also throw in the fact that you are locked into that lease for at least 36 months.
